Bayern remain hot, Pesic takes another position

Brose Baskets Bamberg may still be the run-away leaders of the Beko BBL but the talk of the town is Bayern Munich and their seven-game winning streak to jump into third place – and a three-way tie at 12-6. In the home win over Bayreuth, Robin Benzing continued his excellent play and the players are finding their roles even better. Bayern also made other news as sports director Marko Pesic assumed the role of managing director, which was unmanned after Thomas Oehler stepped down in December – consolidating the two positions.

Statline of the week: King rules, but Artland lose

Anthony King had a huge outing for Artland Dragons against Eisbären Bremerhaven with 16 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocks for an index rating of 34. But King would have traded that performance for a victory as Artland lost 96-80 at home against Bremerhaven.
