25. Januar 2025
SYNTAINICS MBC defeated BG Göttingen for the second time in seven days - this time with much less drama - as they rolled to a 94-80 victory on the road. Wolves, who needed a buzzer-beater dunk to win last week 93-91 at home, pulled away for good in the second quarter for a 9-8 record. Janis Gailitis’ team has won two straight following a three-game losing streak to stay in the running for the post-season. Michael Devoe scored a career high 35 points off the bench and Charles Callison had 16 points and 6 assists. Göttingen could not give new head coach Mikko Riipinen his first victory in his home debut as they fell to 1-14 with seven straight losses. Tra Holder had 23 points in the loss and Demajeo Wiggins added 12 points and 10 rebounds for his seventh double-double.

Göttingen action for inclusion: BG Göttingen came up with a nice action under the motto "Together for inclusion". The club offered audio description in the arena for blind and visually impaired people to receive additional information about the game via headphones. All of the spectators had a chance to experience this in the first minute of the second quarter as the audio description could be heard throughout the arena.

What's Up Next: Göttingen's next chance to snap their losing streak will come on Saturday February 1 with a road game against Veolia Towers Hamburg. SYNTAINICS MBC will aim to make it three in a row on Saturday February 1 when they play at Bamberg Baskets.
